About The Olde Bell
The Olde Bell, a Grade II listed coaching inn, is one of the oldest inns in the world. Redesigned by Ilse Crawford to satisfy the modern tastes, the inn still retains its historic charm, with certain parts of the establishment dating back to 1135! Arranged across five historic buildings that together form a little village, the hotel maintains the spirit of an “inn”. Guests are welcomed with traditional English hospitality and provided with the most divine experience.
Placed in a charming countryside setting and surrounded by magnificent meadow gardens, the Olde Bell is an exceptional venue for a romantic wedding. With a variety of packages to choose from and an experienced team to guide you every step of the way, your wedding will surely be one for the books. Also, the venue is dog-friendly, so don’t forget to invite your furry friends to celebrate with you!
The Olde Bell is located in Hurley, Berkshire, south of the Chiltern Hills and just 40 minutes from London. You can take a short walk from the inn to the River Thames, where you can explore Hurley Lock and stroll along the Thames Path, a National Trail that follows the river for its entire length. The path will take you to the nearby Marlow, a historic riverside town. Henley-on-Thames is also a stone’s throw away.
Other nearby attractions include Windsor Castle and the Savill Garden. The venue is reachable via the M4 and M40 motorways, London Heathrow is just 18 miles away and you can also take the train from London Paddington to Maidenhead.
