About this space

We named this room in honour of Salford resident and father of vegetarianism, Reverend Cowherd. It was from his church sermons that the first ideas of vegetarianism in Britain were formed, as Cowherd’s congregation who ironically attended the Beefsteak Chapel (located just down the road) were meat free from 1809!

If you need privacy and zero distractions, go for The Reverend. Perfect for formal pitches and presentations, one-to-ones, board meetings and deep dive working sessions. The Reverend also works perfectly for a memorable, intimate private dining experience.

We had a fantastic experience with your event space. The booking process was simple and efficient, and we really appreciated how quickly the team followed up to discuss our requirements after confirming the reservation. Throughout our time at the venue, the staff were incredibly attentive and provided seamless service. Refreshments were delivered promptly each day as scheduled, and the quality of the food was excellent. The entire team was friendly, professional, and helpful, which made a real difference to the smooth running of our event. Feedback received from the group was excellent, they loved the room, the service (someone even popped out to the shop for them!) and the food went down a treat!
