About this space
Chetham’s Baronial Hall is one of the best-preserved fifteenth-century spaces of its kind.
The Baronial Hall is used regularly as a performance venue by Chetham’s School of Music and provides an intimate and atmospheric setting for smaller-scale concerts which may be ticketed through The Stoller Hall.
The Baronial Hall may also be used as the centre of a memorable conference, with breakout spaces clustered about this central point; or provides a stunning space for dining, meetings, parties or very special weddings.
This is a flexible space which can add an extra element of magic to any event, with the optional addition of Library and medieval building tours to entertain guests during breaks and networking.

Chetham’s is a unique and atmospheric location, ideal for events from seminars and meetings private dinners and concerts.
The grade I listed building dates to 1421 and is one of the oldest in Manchester, making it perfect for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts or those looking for somewhere unique. Our collection of books is used by researchers from around the world and we’re an accredited museum.
Located in the heart of Manchester in the city’s fascinating Medieval Quarter, we’re a short stroll away from rail and Metrolink connections at Victoria Station, and there are plenty of hotels, shops, restaurants, and other cultural attractions on our doorstep.
