About this space
Bracken Tor is a beautiful location set on the edge of Dartmoor within 4 acres of landscaped gardens. Our unique large function room allows you to bring the outside into your celebrations.
We are a licensed venue for civil ceremonies, our wedding gazebo nestled within the beautiful gardens offers a unique and private venue to tie the knot. Our stunning function room with view across the Devon countryside is the perfect place to celebrate. The space can seat 100 people for a sit down meal can then be cleared for a space for dancing. The bar area and the terrace allow extra space for mingling.
The package covers the accommodation for up to 76 people, sole use of the grounds for the weekend, function room and an event organizer before and on the day.
A selection of different types of menus is available to suit your plans and budget. We will provide a bar also welcome drinks and table wines can be arranged.

Upon confirmation of your booking, we will require a non-refundable deposit of £200 for exclusive use weddings. We will then require 25% of the estimated total cost of your wedding six months prior to the date and the balance of the estimated costs of eight weeks prior to arrival.

Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, Bracken Tor House is a secluded venue that is perfect for weddings, receptions, and civil ceremonies. Surrounded by 4 acres of landscaped grounds and featuring bluebell woods and open moorlands, it offers tranquility and privacy.
Set across two buildings with their own car parks, lounge, dining areas, and self-catering kitchens, Bracken Tor House provides comfortable accommodation with ensuite facilities, wonderful reception areas, and stunning views over the town of Okehampton. The idyllic countryside setting creates the perfect backdrop for celebrations and, of course, beautiful photographs.
Bracken Tor House is located one mile from Okehampton and can be easily accessed from the A30 Okehampton Bypass. There are also bus services to Okehampton from Exeter, Bude, Newquay and Tavistock. Nearby attractions include the ruins of Okehampton Castle with walking paths and picnic spots and the Dartmoor National Park.
