About this space

Surprise your guests and make your wedding day one to remember by hosting it in Oxford Town Hall’s most unique and quirky space! The historic Court Room held many live court sessions back in its day and has served as a backdrop in films and TV shows.

Wonderfully preserved, it boasts many original features, such as wooden panelling on the walls, a gorgeous ceiling with stunning details and the original wooden dock that still leads to the police cells below.

The traditional courtroom fixed benches can seat up to 43 people and the balcony that overlooks the dock provides space for up to 50 people. The gallery is also a great spot for your photographer to capture the perfect shot.
