The Ballroom is the largest wedding space offered by New Continental Hotel. Elegant and full of splendour, it has the capacity to welcome 70-200 guests for a seated meal and 100-250 guests for a reception. With magnificent crystal chandeliers, fine table linens, two stages, its own private bar and dance floor, it is the perfect place for lavish celebrations that exceed your dreams!

Our Ballroom is acknowledged as one of Plymouth’s largest city centre venue spaces and is used for product launches, conventions, and a wide range of other amazing events.

About New Continental Hotel
New Continental Hotel is a Grade II listed Victorian building, built in 1865. It was bought by Steve and Persefoni Hajiyianni in 1984 and is still owned by the family. The contemporary interiors welcome guests with warmth and splendour. The fabulous, elegant and flexible function rooms are perfect for hosting wedding celebrations. The hotel provides 99 luxurious ensuite bedrooms to accommodate you and your guests at special rates, as well as a leisure complex to relax in before or after your big day. There’s also a wonderful in-house restaurant, free city centre parking and enterprise-grade Wi-Fi that makes it easy to share your memories.
New Continental Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Plymouth, opposite the Plymouth Pavilions and close to the sea. Easily accessible via the A38 Devon Expressway, it is the perfect location to explore Britain’s Ocean City. The train station is a 15-minute walk away and the Plymouth Ferry Port is reachable within a 13-minute walk.
