About Chesters Sunderland

Welcome To The Chesters,

One of the oldest pubs in Sunderland come down and see us at The Chesters. We are 70 years this year in 2024.

Situation between the Sunderland Royal Hospital and the Sunderland University on Chester road.

We have a beautiful beer garden situated at the front of the pub with plenty of benches in the sun for the summer and we also have covered areas and huts with TVs and heaters for the winter. We have got a large car parking area that you get free parking in whilst having lunch or dinner here.

We serve food 7 days a week with our kitchen being open from 10am (Sunday timings differ), we have some great mid week deals including 2 dine for £20 (look for further details on our social media).

We have a great atmosphere if it is for some breakfast, lunch or even to watch Sunderland games. We offer a large range of cask ales with a quick turn around as they are so popular alongside our ale loyalty card. We also have a fun family quiz on Sundays from 7pm starting 1st September 2024.

We have a large function room that is available to hire as well, with a large grand entrance and its own bar and separate toilets perfect for numerous occasions. Just get in contact with the site to query about it.
