The Hospitium Venue at Hospitium
About this space
The 14th century Hospitium is a two-story listed building set within the beautiful York Museum Gardens in York city center, overlooked by the striking ruins of the Grade 1 listed St. Mary’s Abbey. The Hospitium is our most versatile venue available throughout the day and evening. It’s licensed to hold weddings and civil ceremonies, and can also host unique conferences, workshops, private parties, trade fairs, and more.
The ground-floor space works well as a welcome and lunchtime area, with the first-floor space providing a wonderful learning or dining room. The whole venue is fully accessible for users, with ramps, lifts, and hearing loops, along with accessible toilet facilities. The Medieval rooms and garden setting are beautiful and atmospheric.
