Booked SPACIOUS STUIDO WITH PROPS at SPACIOUS STUDIO WITH PROPS
I liked the Backgrounds & props she had ! Really made it easy to make your photoshoot if you didn’t have a set plan when you went in. I had some trouble with the backdrops and I just called her & got it sorted out she told me where to find the lights and everything. One phone call away

Booked 23A Manhattan Event Rental at Event Rental Space Manhattan 23rd Floor
The space was perfect for my needs: a 30-person birthday party. The views were amazing! I booked this place and a third-party event planner who was able to get in and set up in time for us to gather and celebrate. Party lights were great. I'd definitely use this venue again for either events or photoshoots.

Booked Photography Studio at Freddy's Studio
This was a great location with really nice size space. We were able to make 4 different sets in the space. The equipment was great quality and the furnishings were well suited for a photo shoot. We needed extra staging boxes and hangers and they were brought right over us when requested.

Booked Entire Studio at Studios by SK
SK Studios were amazing partners for our event. We hosted a photoshoot party where we hired 2 professional photographers to take headshots and group portraits for ~45 attendees. The space was perfect for our event with ample room for 2 studio backdrops, food, drinks, and even a cute "green room." Throughout the process, Spencer and Emily were very responsive and accommodating, being flexible with some of our shipments and last minute needs/requests. We recommend working with them and would definitely rent their venue again for another event of our own.

Booked Mansion at Shirley-Eustis House
I loved how friendly the staff were! We got a wonderful tour of the place and the history while also given some advice for our historical photoshoot.

Booked Entire Space at Large Flex Event Loft Studio
This studio was perfect for our photography workshop. We needed plenty of room and table space and this was exactly what we we were looking for. I will definitely book this space again in the future. Wolfgang and Jorg were excellent and easy to communicate with.

Guide to Booking Photo Studios

Are you planning a photo shoot? Booking the right photo studio is key to your success, and the US offers plenty of excellent options – you just have to know where to look! Whether you’re after an unconventional  loft studio in NYC or a premier venue in Los Angeles, you can find it here. So, how do you choose the right space to bring your creative vision to life? Let's talk about finding the right studio for your needs.

Determine what kind of studio you need

As a photographer, you know the space you choose can make or break your project. A small fashion shoot with a couple of models needs a totally different space than a dynamic undertaking with multiple backgrounds and props. Start your search by understanding your needs: Are you looking for a furnished studio space with a particular style, or a blank canvas to create your vision? Do you need artificial light, a daylight studio, or maybe a full blackout space

If you’ve already mapped out your creative project, you probably have a vision board or at least a clear idea of the space in your mind! Write down your non-negotiables and nice-to-haves and keep it close when assessing venues.

Think about the amenities you’ll need. Across the US, you’ll find green screen studios, photo studios with cyclorama walls and unique sets, and professionally equipped venues with dynamic stands and tripods, various lighting fixtures, and additional areas for you and your crew.

Figure out the best rental arrangement

Before beginning your search, make sure you know your budget and what arrangement works best for you. The most common pricing type you’ll encounter is hourly rental fees, with the most affordable photo studios in the US starting around $25 per hour. You can book a photography venue for a session (typically between 4 and 8 hours) or a full day (8 hours or more), which is ideal for more complex projects. Costs can vary greatly, from $100 per session for a small photo studio to over $30,000 for a day for a large warehouse or luxurious venue. (All data from Tagvenue.)

Start the booking process

Once you know what you are looking for in your perfect photo shoot studio, it’s time to begin your search! Using a venue marketplace like Tagvenue allows you to quickly filter through your options and contact studio managers directly. You can use smart search filters to find spaces that fit your criteria: narrow them down by size, availability, cost, popular facilities and even location!

Browse through pictures, read detailed descriptions, and check customer reviews to find studios that match your expectations. Start inquiring by contacting multiple venues to keep your options open and pick the best offer. Don’t hesitate to ask venue managers for any additional information - they’ll be happy to help!
