About Cancer Survivors' Garden
Nestled in the heart of the city, the Cancer Survivors’ Garden, completed in 1996, is a hidden treasure located on the east side of the park. Offering stunning views of Lake Michigan and the Field Museum of Natural History, this serene garden is a celebration of life and a beacon of hope.
The garden's north end is marked by two impressive forty-foot tall granite columns that flank a spacious open metal pavilion. During the spring and summer months, the area comes alive with an array of vibrant flowers, creating a picturesque setting. The garden’s design is intended to be contemplative, symbolizing the journey of healing through recognition and self-knowledge. It features three main garden rooms, each representing a vital stage of healing: acceptance, support, and celebration.
Today, the Cancer Survivors’ Garden is a beloved venue for weddings and other special events, thanks to its beautiful and meaningful ambiance. For those interested in renting this unique and inspiring space, it is located at 337 E Randolph St, Chicago.
