Just over 900 sq. ft. of space to create in.
Our two large, south-facing windows allow for even, soft light, and blank space on the east and west walls allows you to manipulate the light in multiple ways.
You can expect soft light whatever time of day you book. During the afternoon and early evening, golden light floods through our two western-facing windows offering fun direct light to play with.
Strong light during the winter and spring months can be controlled with our window screen or manipulated as direct light.

Host rules
The TX Studio does not allow any nude photography or partially nude photography. For reference, this includes but is not limited to: full or partial nude shoots, implied nudity, pornography, fine art nudity, and transparent clothing. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to reach out and ask!
Glitter, paper confetti, fireworks, and firearms are not permitted.
No smoking or drugs are permitted.
We are not an event space. If you have more than 12 people in your party, we ask that you book both studios for your shoot. If you have more than 25 people in your party, please make sure to check with our studio manager before booking.
Be courteous of those using the studio before and after you.
We do not offer refunds for cancellations.
Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period

We are located in Oak Cliff, in the historic Tyler Station building, on the south side of the building.
The TX Studio Creative Residency is designed for photographers, filmmakers and other creatives.
Our goal is to inspire, encourage and give a platform to those who want to work hard and create something beautiful.
