About this space
Our largest stage at 42 feet wide has been the home to Reefer Madness which went on to an off-Broadway run and was made into an HBO movie, Julia Sweeney’s hit solo show Letting Go of God, Peter Aiello’s TMI Hollywood, and the world premieres of Heathers! the Musical and My Big Fat Greek Wedding written and starring Nia Vardalos that became the smash hit film of the same title.
The Hudson Backstage has also been home to Comedy Central Stage since 2003. The Backstage is a 99-seat theatre with brick walls and rolling flats, perfect for large-cast musicals and special events.

About Hudson Theatres
The Hudson Theatre has three stages for rent. The Mainstage Theatre is our premier 99-seat space with a modified thrust and three dressing rooms.
The Backstage Theatre is our largest space at 42 feet wide with 99 seats, brick walls, and rolling flats. The Guild Theatre is our most intimate space with a raised stage and 43 seats. The Guild is also known as the Hudson Screening Room, complete with top-of-the-line a/v.
