Urban Myth Studio was built by Photographer Peter Martinez and offers professional amenities at one of the lowest rates in Brooklyn.
Located where East Williamsburg meets Bushwick, 4 minutes walk from the Jefferson stop on the L-line subway, the studio provides personalized service, select equipment and a 1,000sf studio that features a custom made white hard cyc wall (16 feet wide x 16 feet deep x 14 feet high), large windows with south western exposure with fast black out option, a large center room skylight with sliding black out shutter, a new 38,000BTU air conditioning system, bluetooth sound system, built-in hair & makeup station, a computer desk and a large, private, in studio bathroom with shower.

Please don't arrive early as the studio may be occupied or we may be resetting the space or away from the location or even taking a break.
We don't have a waiting area.
Please make sure to be cleaned up and loaded out of the studio by the end of your booked time.
Please make sure that everyone in your group knows not to step on the curved part of the cyc where the floor meets the wall. Also please do not touch the back wall or side wall as you will leave marks.

This New York based studio offers professional turnkey cyclorama studio for photo shoots and video productions. Included in the rental fee is a large selection of professional daylight balanced lighting for both still photography and video production.
The studio features a custom made white cyc (infinity wall), large windows with sw exposure, a center room skylight with sliding black out shutter, built-in hair & makeup station, wardrobe rack, a professional clothes steamer, and a large, private bathroom with shower. The space converts from a natural daylight studio to a full black out in less than a minute.
Most of the equipment in the studio, (lights, stands, sandbags, reflectors, etc.), is included with your rental. The "In house" equipment includes a full selection of daylight balanced strobes and modifiers as well as a variety of daylight balanced continuous lights so you can move seamlessly from still photography to video work. You can set the lights up on your own or, if you’re new to studio lighting or just need to be shooting as soon as possible, I can help you get the lights setup and make sure everything is working properly. Either way, if you have any questions either setting up or during your shoot you can always find me in my office located off the side of the studio or by calling my cell phone if I stepped out.
In addition to the included equipment, a Canon 5d Mark II w/ lenses and support gear, color backgrounds, a green screen, a black back drop and atmospheric effects are also available for an additional rental fee.
Located at the intersection of Williamsburg and Bushwick in Brooklyn's creative hub, the studio is easily accessible by subway or car. By subway take the L Train to the Jefferson stop, it’s a five minute walk to the studio from there. By car we're located on Johnson Ave between Varick and Stewart. Street parking is available.
