About this space
Welcome to our spacious, beautiful daylight studio!
We offer 40 feet of 10-foot-tall floor-to-ceiling southwest-facing windows with cement floors. Always GREAT light whether it's sunny or cloudy.
We believe in our clients, who are strong, capable and independent thinkers ready to get creative in our space.
We are a contactless facility, so we will provide you with instructions and the door code to get in the building. All of the equipment you will need is in the space. We do not provide hands-on assistance, but we are happy to answer any questions remotely.
We are perfect for model castings and digitals, headshots, product photography, fashion shoots, portrait shoots, and birthday shoots, among others. Daylight or artificial light.
We're a super short walk from the Morgan stop on the L train and there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby; lots of cool locations to shoot on the street as well.
We have 20 colors of 9 foot seamless available through our beautifully displayed seamless wall; each pull is $20. Set-up is $10 and must be included via the add-ons to be done before your shoot.
We do not do setups at the last second; we do not purchase or retrieve additional colors on the day of a shoot either. If you are interested in a specific color, let us know in advance.
The space is climate controlled, so it's always comfortable whether it's winter or summer.
We're an elevator building, so there's no stairs at all, and we have door codes so you can be contactless as well.
Please note that overtime is time and a half, so please reserve all the time you need, plus any lighting items via add-ons!

About Matka LLC: OKNO
MATKA was founded in 2018 in a DIY loft space in Bushwick. We started with hosting our friends and small clients for shoots and film nights.
The MATKA team envisioned an inclusive space that welcomed all skill levels of photographers and artists. We have grown into three spaces, each with an assortment of beautiful plants and trees.
MATKA has hosted a diverse range of clients and events, from ad campaigns to branded content to music videos to meditation sessions to bridal showers and proposals to trade for portfolio shoots.
Clients include Vogue India, Sol de Janeiro, Etsy, Out Magazine, CBS News, Rifle Paper Company, Tushy, Dagne Dover, Makari, Otis, Teen Vogue, VitaCoco, MisterWives, Ariana Bohling, Crabtree & Evelyn, among others.
Our staff of assistants can bring you from the lobby into our studio and help you get started, or we can do a contactless check-in.
