About this space

ILA Penthouse is an environmentally conscious event and class venue in the heart of Manhattan. Originating from the FlowerSchool New York, founder Calvert Crary envisioned a space where people can create, learn, and entertain. From there, The Institute for Living Arts, or ILA Penthouse was born.

The 7,000 sq. ft event space, including a penthouse and private rooftop, creates a fun and inspiring environment where clients can put their own personal touch on.

Whether you are interested in an intimate dinner, throwing a launch party, or challenging yourself to learn a new skill, ILA Penthouse is the place to be.

Located in the heart of Chelsea’s Flower District, our space is designed to suit the needs of people, brands, and companies with a vision.

Our venue serves as a blank canvas, allowing us to offer a flexible environment for a variety of event types, layouts, and designs. With a total of a 4,500 square ft Penthouse and 4,000 sq ft. rooftop, our space is highly customizable and ready for your next event.

We offer food and beverage, event design, flower services, and furniture to use on-site or the space can be completely empty based on your needs. All vendors welcome.
