About this space

From custom furniture, to grip equipment, to a specialty coffee service, and more, we have tried to anticipate all of your production needs. Below are some of our favorite amenities we’ve curated to give you an inspiring and productive experience here at EDEN.

AMENITIES:
DAYLIGHT
With a 44’ wall of windows, EDEN shines all day long. We’ve lacquered the floor to create an incredible bounce of light. It looks amazing in portraits with a gorgeous natural catch light in the subject eyes. The windows face north giving a wash of light on each of the walls in morning and evening on sunny days.

STYLING STATION
A one of kind MakeUp and styling station was built out of old computer desks left behind by a previous tenant in an effort to save them from heading to the dumpster. We love the cute cubbies ready for any personal items to keep your workspace tidy and efficient. We added hidden casters so that the station can move to any corner of the studio or be stored away when not in use.

WARDROBE STYLING GEAR
Hidden behind a wall of white oak veneer slats is our studio office, which can also double as a changing room or wardrobe styling room. With a jiffy steamer, 6 rolling racks and 100 coated hangers at your fingertips, your stylist is ready to go. We also have folding tables ready to set up any accessories you need on display.

PHOTO GEAR AND GRIP
Heavy-duty stands, booms and sandbags all ready for your production needs. We have stands, sandbags, and modifiers all included in your rental. Reach out for any specific rental or equipment needs and we will do our best to help you!

Host rules

--Entering the building: We are in a commercial building that's accessible without a keycard during the office hours on the weekdays.

--Booking Hours and Overtime: Your booking must start and end during the duration of your booking, INCLUDING setup and wrap up. If you need extra time, please let our studio coordinator know ahead of time.

--Smoking/Music/Cleanliness: No smoking on site at any time. No open flames. Please make sure you leave the studio exactly as you found it. Please keep sound to a reasonable level so that we don't disturb our neighbors or nearby studios.

--Equipment: Renter is responsible for studio lighting along with setup and tear down. Renters are responsible for all damages to the space and equipment caused during the rental. When you leave, make sure to return all grip equipment to the same spot where you found it. Any items found to be missing after their session will result in the charge of a fee.

--Seamless: We cannot guarantee that availability of any color. If you need a specific color, please give us a heads up before your shoot and we will let you know if we have availability on site.

-- Extra Equipment: Feel free to bring your own equipment to the shoot. Studio building is equipped with an easily accessible fright elevator.

--All Covid19 guidelines must be followed.

--No permanent alterations are allowed to the premises.

--Damage done to the studio or equipment will result in an extra charge.

Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period

Excellent communication
Melinda got back to us promptly and answered all of our questions right away! I haven't spoken to her yet, but she has a very upbeat and possibility oriented demeanor. Happy to post more about our journey with her should we choose the venue. So far, so great!

In the heart of West Chelsea, NY, Eden is located in the center of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in Manhattan. Positioned just steps from the High Line, Eden is a short walk from Hudson Yards, the Vessel, and some of the most inspiring backdrops in the city.

The West Chelsea Arts building was once a former textile mill with twelve-foot ceilings and massive walls of factory windows. With polished concrete and a white lacquered floor, Eden is flooded with soft daylight throughout the day. The way the sun bounces off the adjacent buildings creates a gorgeous splash of light in the morning and evening on sunny days.

The studio has been designed to create a variety of textures and possibilities within one room. From sleek, industrial finishes to a refined wall of ultra-modern paneling, Eden has the look of a classic loft with a chic residential feel. There is a beautifully appointed kitchen that is both functional and photo-worthy. With a custom-built kitchen island and make-up station on casters, we have made all the furniture movable so you can curate the space to your visual needs.
