Church of the Ascension is beautifully renovated Gothic Revival style church located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Built in 1866, our recently updated sanctuary offers an exceptional venue for your special day.
With its stunning architecture and proximity to Manhattan, Church of the Ascension provides an enchanting backdrop for your event. The sanctuary spans 3,000 square feet and has been meticulously restored to harmoniously blend elegant original details with modern updates.
The soaring ceiling, blond hardwood floors, and exposed original stone walls add a touch of timeless beauty to the space. The open floor plan allows for versatility in planning your unforgettable gathering.
We have hosted weddings, receptions, concerts, dance performances, panel discussions and parties. The venue is handicapped accessable.

Prices
1. Rental Fee: Our standard rental fee is $500 per hour, perfect for various events and gatherings.
2. Wedding Packages: If you're planning a wedding, we have tailored wedding packages that begin at $3,000 (for a ceremony) and $8,000 for a 9 hour rentals for ceremony and reception. These packages are thoughtfully designed to make your special day truly unforgettable.
3. Wedding Coordinator: To ensure a seamless wedding experience, you have the option to hire our professional wedding coordinator for the day of the event. The coordinator is available for $60 per hour (with a minimum of 5 hours).
4. Officiant Services: If you'd like to have Fr. John Merz officiate your ceremony, he is available at a rate of $600.
5. Personalized Planning: We take great pride in helping you plan your event to perfection. Our team would be delighted to discuss your specific needs and provide personalized recommendations to make your occasion truly special.

We have a few important guidelines to ensure a pleasant and respectful experience for all our guests:
1. Outside Catering Welcome: You are welcome to bring in outside catering for your event. We understand the importance of having the perfect menu to suit your preferences.
2. Smoke-Free Environment: To maintain a clean and healthy atmosphere, we strictly enforce a no-smoking policy inside the building.
3. Guest Curfew at 9:30 PM: To be considerate of our neighbors and ensure a peaceful environment, we kindly ask all guests to conclude their celebrations and depart by 9:30 PM.
4. Respectful Use of Space: We take pride in offering a well-maintained venue for all events. We kindly request all guests to treat the space with care and respect, leaving it in the same condition as they found it.
5. Avoid Loitering: To maintain a safe and organized environment, we request that guests refrain from loitering in front of the building. Let's ensure smooth arrivals and departures for everyone.
6. A deposit is required on all bookings.
