About El Cholo Cafe
Since 1923, El Cholo has been a Southern California landmark, located at El Paseo Mall on Colorado Blvd since 2010. Known for authentic Mexican cuisine crafted from time-honored family recipes, we've been serving LA for over a century. Our Pasadena location, established in 2000, offers indoor/outdoor seating and a bar with views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
We serve traditional Mexican dishes, including family recipes dating back to 1923. Alongside classic combination plates and famous green corn tamales, you'll find newer favorites like nachos and fajitas. Since introducing margaritas in 1967, we've been pouring thousands daily.
