About this space
ACT is a multipurpose black box theater/performance space that seats 100-150 people depending on need.
We feature a full range of RGB lighting units, intelligent lighting, fog machines, bubble machines, snow machines, strobe, microphones, Surround Sound, and more. The space is a working theater so all Friday and Saturday nights are booked from 6:00 - until 11 PM. However, Sundays and Weekdays are available for bookings. We have pianos, mic stands, music stands, and baffling for recitals and prep spaces/dressing rooms/meeting spaces for actors and performers.
All bookings include the use of the lobby and dressing room. We have ample parking around the building and handicap accessibility at the back entrances. ACT can handle your ticketing & promotional needs for additional fees. If you wish to use the stage equipment (lighting/sound) a tech person will be required which is NOT included in your booking. We will help you secure outside staffing. All performances must meet with a technical agent prior to your event to go over show order, show needs, comparability with the space, load in, and load out. Please remember to book enough time to load your event in and out of the space.
ACT has onsite concessions, you are welcome to provide outside catering, but there is no kitchen facility for prep. If bookings provide their promotional information, we will link through to their website free of charge. Tables and chairs are available on-site for rental.

Host rules
- No smoking in the facility
- Any underage drinking or consumption of any illegal substances will result in immediate cancellation of your booking without a refund
- All bookings must be done by persons over the age of 21 and must present a valid ID upon the day of the event
- Staffing is not part of your contract and all staffing fees are due on the day of the event prior to the event beginning
- No bookings can be made for Friday or Saturday after 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Staff will perform normal clean-up for your event if the cleaning fee is paid, if excess trash, vomit, excrement, damage, or purposeful vandalism is found at the conclusion of your event, the booking party will be billed for the cost to return the facility to its pre-event status
- There are no refunds for any reason once the event has begun
- At least one week prior to event, bonkers must meet with event staff to go over the event and the booking needs. At that time a one-page contract will be signed
- A $100 damage fee must be given and will be returned at the end of the event in full if no damage is found.
- At the time of the booking all interested parties must walk the space and photograph any perceived damage to the event space to ensure they are not held responsible, similarly at the end of the event, staff will walk with the booking party to the space to again clear it of damage and ensure cleanliness to release the contract
- All outside vendors must maintain proper licencing and certifications
- Harsh language, intoxication, sexual acts, violence, lewd behavior, weaponry, and shenanigans will not be tolerated and will result in the termination of the contract without a refund
- All parties with underage participants must be accompanied by one adult per every 5 children under 18.
- Do not touch things in the building that do not belong to you. We are a working theatre, there are lots of temptations, police your people
- No one is allowed in the tech booth area except ACT staff

About Art Centre Theatre
The Art Centre Theatre (ACT) is located in the Industrial District in downtown Plano, Texas. We are right off I-75 & Ave N a block East of Ave K.
The theatre boasts an impressive 2,000 square feet of space, which the stage rests on ground level and features raked seating affording a perfect view of the stage from any angle! ACT also has 2 extra large rooms that can be used for parties or events!
All bookings must be made by someone 21 years or older. TABC certification is required for any on-site alcohol vendors. There is a fee for food trucks or catering groups. The space is available for renal 24 hours a day. There are onsite bathrooms and drinking fountains.
