As far as design, the restaurant offers a casual, garden motif with an upstairs outdoor patio and event space, and a mural on the side of the building by local legends Ground Floor Murals, who are known for their many Padres paintings sited around the city.

About Key and Cleaver
We take pride in the food and beverage we serve, we are dedicated to having as much of our menu local as possible. Our beef is from North County San Diego right outside of Julian, at Perennial Pastures Ranch. Our buns are from a local bakery in La Jolla.
We have a lineup of 16 drafts all locally brewed here in San Diego, as well as gin, Vodka, and Whiskey all distilled in San Diego! If you’re driving east on University, you’ll see a beautiful cow mural by locals Ground Floor Murals.
