Key rental policies include:

The Klamath must approve floorplans for all events in advance. Please note that plans requiring permits from the Port of San Francisco may require a longer lead time.

Insurance is required for all events - we can assist with obtaining insurance for private events.

Alcohol may only be provided / served by our licensed supplier

Many areas of the Klamath are open to the public and events and event preparations must always be planned around maintaining the public’s right of access at all times.

All rental spaces are rented as-is and no refunds will be issued for delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, unless the management has decided that weather or other interruption requires access to The Klamath to be closed for safety reasons.

Animals, except those specifically trained to assist the disabled, are not permitted on the Klamath.

There is a strict no-open flame policy on The Klamath, including tea-lights and sterno. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises or on the apron of Pier 9.

The Klamath requires the use of Preferred Caterers for all events. Outside caterers may only be used with specific permission from The Klamath.

All events will be staffed by a Klamath Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator is the final authority for special activities and will okay or deny last minute changes by the Renter or Renter’s subcontractors.
