About The German Ev.-Luth. Church of St Paul

Located in New York City, built in 1897, our Sanctuary is on the second floor of the church and can hold up to 400 people. It also has seats on the balcony that houses a beautifully decorated organ from Jardine & Son. The church’s altar, pulpit, and reading desk were made by Semmann Wagerin & Co. in Milwaukee. The five large windows in the altar area show important events like the Birth of Jesus and the Crucifixion, and were made by Hofkunstanstalt Mayer & Co. in Munich.

On the first floor of the church is the Community Hall, which you enter through a grand doorway. This big, bright room can hold up to 140 people for events and has wooden floors. It’s equipped with a projector and screen for different uses, and has a well-set-up kitchen for any catering needs.
