I recently hosted my 40th birthday party at The Albany, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I rented the basement for around 100 guests, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
First and foremost, Ellie was outstanding! She helped me with all the booking details, from arranging the menu to organizing the room layout. She was quick to respond, super friendly, and just made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. I knew things were in great hands, thanks to her attention to detail.
On the day of the party, two managers, Inka and Iwo, were there to keep everything running seamlessly. They were both fantastic—extremely attentive, helpful, and made sure all my guests felt taken care of. The bar staff were just as brilliant, and their energy really added to the night.
The basement itself is a gem of a venue. There’s a private staircase that leads down to it, giving it an exclusive feel. While the room was slightly smaller than I expected from the photos, it was still spacious enough, and the cozy seating areas like booths and corner seats matched the pictures perfectly. It was great to have these chill-out areas for guests who wanted to relax.
Setting up music was super easy—I just plugged in my phone, and the sound system was good to go. My friends raved about the food, especially the chicken dippers! I didn’t get a chance to try much myself, but both my gluten-free and vegan friends loved their options, which speaks volumes about the variety and quality.
All in all, I feel really lucky to have found this place. The Albany’s basement is the perfect venue if you're looking for a cool, affordable space with amazing staff who genuinely make a difference. Big shoutout to Ellie, Inka, and Iwo for making my birthday unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The toilet doors in the ladies were extremely hard to close. Some of our female guests commented on this.
