Despite saying the balcony area is for the Foyle room only, we had frequent disruption from people walking past outside. Somewhat distracting when trying to hold a presentation.

So this is a really solid venue. Beautiful view. Lovely light room. Decent catering. Probably need to think a bit more about directing people to get into the building before it is open to the public but that was a minor issue.

The only issue is the wi-fi. Room either needs its own wi-fi or to be put on to the private wi-fi. Using the national theatres public wi-fi when you are conducting an all day zoom meeting is sub-optimal. Keeps cutting out because its being used by everyone in the facility.

The service wasn't great to start with and things were missed but by the afternoon they seemed to get their act together. It was quite noisy at times as they were moving furniture for a event which was annoying.

The service staff assigned to my room was top notch and attentive. They were very responsive via WhatsApp to any needs I had during the day.

Lots of noise from caterers who use the deck outside as a passageway between the kitchen and the main hall. I had to inform the staff who tried to have the caterers keep their noise down, but it happened several times over two days. Loud catering carts rolling, carts of glassware clinking, it was quite distracting.
Also, the time to show up and where to show up in the morning to gain entry was not well documented and confusing to my guests. The main doors were supposed to be open at 08.00 and they were late to open (by almost 15 minutes) one day.
