The Hall space is perfect and the kitchen has everything you need! The staff were very accommodating when it came to certain things which I loved. Staff are also very friendly and helpful!
However When we initially viewed the venue, we were under the impression that our responsibilities would be limited to collecting our belongings and disposing of rubbish, as the gentleman showing us around mentioned he was cleaning from a previous event. However, we later discovered that a full clean-down, including hoovering and mopping, was expected, which was not clearly communicated to us beforehand. Additionally, we were only given 30 minutes to complete this clean-up, a detail that was not disclosed until the day of the event. Another factor to consider is the setup time, which is limited to just one hour. Unfortunately, this was not sufficient for our needs, and although we requested additional time, it was not possible as the hall was booked for another event beforehand Which they did explain.

A great venue for a large party and very flexible. Very spacious and great value. Kyle and his team were really helpful on the evening, and especially were understanding when there were some issues around the organisation of the caterers! I’d definitely recommend having your party here.

About Magdalen Hall

Magdalen Hall Association C.I.C is a Tenants and Residents Association run by a board of volunteers from the estates of St. Saviours, Purbrook & Aylwin (over 740 homes). We are formally recognised by Southwark Council. We are governed by our Articles of Association and elections are held yearly at our Annual General Meeting on the last Thursday of July.


We manage and run the beautiful Magdalen Hall, located a stone throw away from Tower Bridge, with London Bridge, a major transportation hub nearby. It has a spacious hall for rent with a stage for parties, functions, classes and theatre productions; supplemented by two bars at modest prices and discounts for members (tenants and residents of the estates). All are welcome to join us at this wonderful venue. We take pride in our community and promote diversity, tolerance and equality.
