About Bow Street Police Museum

Located in the heart of Covent Garden, directly opposite the world-famous Royal Opera House, Bow Street Police Museum is one of London’s hidden gems. A small and unique venue for memorable talks, meetings, conferences, filming and receptions.

On the site of the former Bow Street Police Station, the Museum explores the story of criminal justice, law and (dis)order, and the evolution of policing
in London. Former police cells have become galleries, and our main exhibition space investigates the early history of Bow Street and the pioneering establishment of London’s first law enforcement service, the Bow Street Runners.

Discover tales from those who once worked inside the station walls and learn about the cases which bought international attention to Bow Street including Oscar Wilde, the Suffragettes, and the Kray Twins.
