Perfect venue for a birthday dinner (we were a group of 29). I hired both the dining room and the room upstairs for welcome drinks / post-dinner drinks - everything was perfect, service was great and Mattia was fantastic - easy communication, everything was as pre-agreed etc. Mattia was also very helpful in advising on menu changes for guests who were pregnant. The food and drinks were great too.
I just wish we could have stayed longer as we were having a great time and midnight came too soon. Also I ended up hiring speakers - it would have been helpful if there was a sound system already available at the venue.

Charming venue and staff!! Cannot recommend enough. We were a last minute surprise party and Mattia and team were gorgeous and helpful to us and made us feel so welcome and looked after. The food was DELICIOUS. I would have every party here if possible. 10/10 everyone must go to L'Escargot.

Had an amazing work christmas party at L'escargot snail bar. Was so nice having our own private room, with bathrooms right next to it, it's own little bar where we could decide in advance what drinks we could have available. The food was lovely and a good quantity. We were allowed to bring our own speakers and play our own music. A pianist came half way through and played for a couple of hours, which we actually didn't realise was part of the evening, was a nice touch, although would have been better if we'd known in advance so we could decide if it was actually right for our event.
Overall eveyone had a fantastic evening, and the bar staff were excellent.
I assumed we would have had wait staff serving the canapes around to everyone but instead they just brought the food to a couple of the tables, which was fine in the end and we served ourselves, just didn't realise.
Again, would have been nice to decide about the piano player in advance.
