About Luci
In the heart of Covent Garden, just a two-minute walk from the station, you will find Luci, an Italian restaurant-bakery that is truly all about the food. From breakfast to dinner, Luci's philosophy is to 'celebrate the most pleasurable part of life – eating!' Luci is part of the Aqua Restaurant Group that operates internationally and has an impressive restaurant portfolio that includes Aqua Kyoto, Aqua Nueva and Shiro in Liverpool Street, each known particularly for it's glamorous interiors.
The restaurant is split between two levels, with the upper functioning as the main dining area and the lower serving drinks from the bar in the evening and fresh goods from the bancone during the day. Luci’s bar serves classic Italian cocktails in their own unique style, including firm favourites, such as the vibrant Negroni and the decadent Espresso Martini. There is also a carefully selected wine list designed to pair nicely with the cuisine.
Not only is the wine plentiful for drinking, it also forms a big part of Luci’s interior design. The walls and cabinets are covered by and filled with wine bottles, so it really would seem rude not to indulge, wouldn’t it? The restaurant also boasts a large collection of art and stylish low hanging lights.
If you stop by during the day, the bancone offers an abundance of light bites, including pasta salads, baked loaves, focaccia slices, sandwiches and sweet pastries, not to mention the homemade gelato. With so many choices, Luci’s can provide an aromatic coffee for you to sip while you make your decision.
Luci’s undergoes an impressive transformation into an animated restaurant in the evening. Head Chef Andrea Pesenti has designed a menu using high-quality ingredients sourced from genuine Italian producers in an effort to create truly authentic cuisine. The dishes are plentiful and include the likes of homemade pasta, woodfire pizza and thick wedges of saucy lasagne.
